CANTO III - The Sloths

The third canto of the Divina Commedia is a dense and compelling exploration of the Inferno's symbolic landscape. Dante and Virgil arrive at the door to the infernal regions, where they encounter the sloths - helpless souls consumed by inaction, who must now suffer the consequences of their laziness. As Charon appears, ferrying souls to their eternal resting place, we see how Dante blends mythology, legend, and theology to create a timeless work of art.
