CANTO XIV - The Blasphemers and The Old Man of Crete

On Mount Ida is the statue of an old man with a gold head, silver upper torso and arms, copper lower torso, iron legs and left foot, and terracotta right foot. From a crack across his whole body, but for the head, tears drip down, giving birth to the rivers of Hell.
